چکیده

We present the results of a new reverberation mapping campaign for broad-lined active galactic nucleus (AGN) in edge-on spiral IC4329A. Monitoring optical continuum with $V-$band photometry and broad emission-line flux variability moderate-resolution spectroscopy allowed light curves to be measured H$\beta$, H$\gamma$, HeII $\lambda 4686$. find time delay $16.3^{+2.6}_{-2.3}$ days similar $16.0^{+4.8}_{-2.6}$ an unresolved $-0.6^{+3.9}_{-3.9}$ HeII. The H$\beta$ is consistent predicted value from relationship between AGN luminosity line region radius, after correction $\sim2.4$mag intrinsic extinction at 5100A. Combining emission width adopted $\langle f \rangle = 4.8$, we central supermassive black hole mass $M_{\rm BH}=6.8^{+1.2}_{-1.1}\times10^7 M_{\rm \odot}$. Velocity-resolved delays were across profile may ''M''-like shape. Modeling full response was able provide only modest constraints on some parameters, but does exhibit agreement average delay. models also suggest that structure misaligned by large amount galaxy disk. This expectations unified model AGNs, which lines are expected visible AGNs viewed relatively face-on inclinations.

Measuring the coronal properties of IC 4329A with NuSTAR

We present an analysis of a ∼160 ks NuSTAR observation of the nearby bright Seyfert galaxy IC 4329A. The highquality broadband spectrum enables us to separate the effects of distant reflection from the direct coronal continuum, and to therefore accurately measure the high-energy cutoff to be Ecut = 178+74 −40 keV. The coronal emission arises from accretion disk photons Compton up-scattered by a...

Advances in Reverberation Mapping

This contribution briefly reviews the reverberation mapping technique which leads to determination of black hole masses. I focus on the emerging relation between the broad-line region size and the active galactic nucleus (AGN) luminosity, and on an overview of recent results of reverberation mapping studies which are starting to cover the full AGN luminosity range. Preliminary results and time ...

X-ray spectral components from a broad band BeppoSAX observation of the Seyfert galaxy IC 4329A

From the spectral analysis of a broadband (0.1–200 keV) BeppoSAX observation of the Seyfert 1 galaxy IC 4329A, the main results obtained are: a) the amount of reflection, together with the intensity of the iron K line, indicate a geometry with a solid angle substantially less than 2π; b) the power law is affected by a cut off with e-folding energy about 270 keV, the fourth individual object so ...

The Broad-band X-ray Spectrum of IC 4329A from a Joint NuSTAR/Suzaku Observation

We have obtained a deep, simultaneous observation of the bright, nearby Seyfert galaxy IC 4329A with Suzaku and NuSTAR. Through a detailed spectral analysis, we are able to robustly separate the continuum, absorption and distant reflection components in the spectrum. The absorbing column is found to be modest (∼ 6×10 cm ), and does not introduce any significant curvature in the Fe K band. We ar...

Warm absorber, reflection and Fe K line in the X-ray spectrum of IC 4329A

Results from the X-ray spectral analysis of the ASCA PV phase observation of the Seyfert 1 galaxy IC 4329A are presented. We find that the 0.4 10 keV spectrum of IC 4329A is best described by the sum of a steep (Γ ∼ 1.98) power-law spectrum passing through a warm absorber plus a strong reflection component and associated Fe K line, confirming recent results (Madejski et al. 1995, Mushotsky et a...
